Meet the instructor
Mercedes Zorrilla Tejeda
Mercedes is passionate about promoting healthier and happier lifestyles. She studied a BSc in Nutrition and Food Science at Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico. She is also a diabetes educator. After graduating, she decided to study an MSc in Human Nutrition with specialisation in Obesity and Weight Management at University of Glasgow. During her studies at Glasgow, she volunteered with British Heart Foundation and North Glasgow Community Food Initiative.
In 2017, Mercedes was a student at NNEdPro Cambridge Summer School in Applied Human Nutrition and awarded a certificate of Merit. She has worked in a clinical practice as a nutritionist, a contract research organisation as a Medical Information Specialist, a nutrition company as a Medical Science Liaison and at the WHO European Office for the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases as a consultant.
