Introduction to Nutrition and Healthcare

The NNEdPro Global Centre for Nutrition and Health presents a ~10 hour package of online learning materials, developed from recorded materials from specific segments of our flagship Cambridge Summer Schools over the past years.

An Introduction to Nutrition and Healthcare gives a well-rounded overview to healthcare professionals around the different areas in medical health care, which require the application of nutrition knowledge to improve delivery of services. This includes the management of undernutrition on one hand and obesity on the other, as well as the care of those with disease-related malnutrition and micronutrient deficiencies.

The course also highlights the important connections between nutrition and preventable as well as chronic, non-communicable diseases, including cardiovascular disease, cancer, and diseases related to cognition. The course provides a broad foundation and is the basis for further study and can also provide a good foundation for those wishing to undertake research or education in this area.
